There are no reviews for Day 14 because both teams were art, so I'm including Day 13 with this one.
Day 11: Leave of Absence
Wake by my_scheherazade 2/5 14,000 words. "Oh the blood and the treasure, and then losing it all. The time that we wasted, and the place where we fall. Will we wake in the morning and know what it was for, up in our bedroom, after the war?" -- The Beginning After the End by Stars ( Not as good as I'd hoped it would be. )
Day 12: Balance of Power
Epiphanies Aren't Just For Ancients (and Other Hard Learned Lessons) by reddwarfer and djin7 2/5 14,500 words. John Sheppard knows that sometimes, the quickest way to end a war is to lose it. But if he has to go down, he's taking Rodney with him. ( Decent story, but not really my thing. )
(Murphy's) Laws of War by mirasol 1/5 2100 words. It is a bad thing to run out of airspeed, altitude and ideas all at the same time. ( Bland. )
Day 13: Feet of Clay
Sticks and Stones (May Break My Bones But Words Will Never Hurt Me) by emeraldsword 2/5 4200 words. "Are we going to crawl in there, assuming I can even fit through that gap, to get our faces chewed off by rodents with space-rabies?" ( Could have been good with some editing. )
The Weakness See by mamadeb 1/5 3400 words. For once, no one was attacking them. ( Laughably OOC. )

Well, I still haven't finished reading everything for Match, but I figured now that the names have been revealed, I can start posting the reviews for what I have read.
Day 1: Top of the World
Atmosphere by indy_go 2/5 2900 words. Nowhere else to go but up. ( Cute enough if you like fluff, but even then it's pretty bland. )
Day 2: Tilting at Windmills
Where the Brave Dare Not Go by telesilla 4/5 Recommended 18,000 words. John Sheppard has had over twenty years to come to grips with the fact that every four or five weeks, he turns into a mountain lion. Like most Were, he accepts that that's just the way it is, and so he's not particularly interested when he learns that researchers at the local university are trying to to develop drugs that will help Were control their cycles. Then he meets Dr. Rodney McKay, a brilliant but irascible biochemist with reasons of his own for spearheading the university's Were research and John suddenly finds himself struggling with more than just his attraction to McKay. ( I really enjoyed this, despite not being a fan of the werewolf genre. )
The Ingenious Dr. Rodney McKay of Atlantis by propinquitine 2/5 10,600 words. Who would have thought that defeating the Wraith was the least of Rodney's worries? ( Fairly well-written old-school-feeling slash. )

Wow, some of these have been on my hard drive a really long time. D: But I finally have enough for a post!
If Love Is a Red Dress by norah 3/5 So You Think You Can Dance. 1600 words. Ivan really likes the way Travis looks in that dress. ( Cute & hot. )
Pretend There Is Nothing Outside This Room by helens78 3/5 Liam Neeson/Christian Bale. 9400 words. Liam hires Christian for the night, but when the night's over, he's interested in more than one night's work. Christian's never spent the night with someone who has this kind of money before, and money sometimes makes all the difference in the world... ( Not really my thing, but well-enough written that it's still enjoyable. If you like D/s training type stories, you'll probably like it a lot more. )
Sharp Left Turn by temve 3/5 Ewan McGregor/Liam Neeson. 2000 words. When Ewan's bike crashes on a deserted country lane on a dark and stormy night, he thinks his life is over. And, in a way, he's right. Technically speaking. ( This was actually hilarious. )
Hacker, Me? by temve 3/5 Ewan McGregor/Liam Neeson. 600 words. Pixels or not, Liam has the best view in the world. ( Enjoyable. )

Fic reviews: 2 SPN Big Bangs
8/1/09 04:03 am
Hmm, I'm tired of long fics. Time to take a break from Big Bang and read some Remix maybe.
I've Seen the Future, Brother (It Is Murder) by kroki_refur 4/5 Recommended 37,500 words. It’s May second, and tomorrow is the first day of the end of the world, but Dean doesn’t know that. ( Awesome. )
And God, I Know I'm One by newredshoes 1/5 20,000 words. So Sam is willing to let his younger brother find their missing dad all by himself, but when his fiancee Jessica disappears, he'll drop his position at a D.C. law firm and hit the road to hunt again? Fine. Whatever. Dean can deal with that, just like he can deal with the strange dreams and crippling headaches. The demons, though? That part he doesn't want to do alone. ( Nothing more than a 20,000 word partial summary of a promising AU. Why is there not a warning for THIS? )

She Only Reveals What She Wants You to See by amadi 3/5 The West Wing. 1900 words. They've been together for two years. Now Donna's dropped a bombshell on Josh. What's next? ( Enjoyable, even not knowing the fandom. )
The Pattern of All the Process by raedbard 4/5 Recommended The West Wing. 19,000 words. At the Emergency Room the doctor calls Huck your brother. Molly doesn't bother to correct him, neither does dad, not at first anyway, though she does wonder -- not for the first time -- why, with her short hair and dungarees, she never gets mistaken for a boy anymore. ( I liked the story, but not the writing style. )
Making Your Bed in the Prison of Your Mind by merle_p 3/5 Leverage. 3000 words. There are a lot of reasons why coming out is a bad idea. ( Interesting, but I couldn't really get into it. )
The Epiphany Job by shrift 5/5 Recommended Leverage. 3600 words. When he rolled out of bed that afternoon, heated up some Philly Steak & Cheese Hot Pockets for breakfast, and then went to the office, Alec Hardison was not expecting to experience a paradigm shift. ( Oh man, this is so awesome. )
Fic reviews: lgbtfest (Brothers & Sisters)
6/12/09 07:26 am
Bright as the Rain in the Palm of Your Hand by inlovewithnight 5/5 Recommended 8800 words. It's a package deal. ( Fics this long usually take me several days to read as I tend to wander away and do other stuff, but I read this all in one sitting. )
Not Paige, Please by amadi 5/5 Recommended 2500 words. It's hard enough being a part of the Walker family as it is. Much worse when you don't have an expected ally. ( Really feels like it could be an episode. )
Growing Up Paige by amadi 3/5 2500 words. Scenes from the life of a Walker family grandchild. ( Nice collection of vignettes in the same universe as the fic above. )
Between Two Rooms by romanticalgirl 4/5 Recommended 1300 words. When Kevin is outed, he goes to Saul, but doesn't find the support he'd hoped for. ( Feels like it could be canon. )
And Time Yet for a Hundred Indecisions by cinaed 2/5 1200 words. Saul was nineteen the first time he kissed another man. It felt as though the world was ending. Now, half a century later, Henry kisses him, and it feels less like disaster and more like rebirth. ( A little too tell-y for me. )
Bring Him Home by marea67 1/5 1900 words. What if your mother has a different opinion of what "home" is? ( Needs editing badly. )
I Beg Your Pardon, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden by merle_p 4/5 Recommended 3300 words. Two mothers, two sons. ( Similar theme to the one above, but so much better. )
Fic reviews: lgbtfest (Supernatural)
6/4/09 10:58 pm
Black Soul Choir by busaikko 5/5 Recommended Supernatural. 25,400 words. The Winchesters' dying thoughts on shaping your own destiny and making deals; in which Mary is a hunter, John is a father, Dean is a transsexual man, and Sam is pretty happy being Dean's B-side. Featuring 4 hunters, 3 deals with the devil, 2 brothers, 1 blessing, and 1 curse. ( This is just amazing. )
The Violet Hour by zooey_glass04 3/5 5500 words. In the bright glare of the overhead light it's impossible to ignore what he's been seeing all along: the broad, masculine shape of his sister's shoulders underneath the jacket. ( Better than the other one that used this prompt, but my like never quite became love. )
Three Shots Fired by jargonelle 2/5 3000 words. Jo tries to find her place in the hunting community. ( I wanted to like this more, because Jo! But alas. )
Bloody Knuckles by chasingtides 2/5 3800 words. Sam never figured a bar fight in Nowheresville, Tennessee would lead to learning so much about his brother - or the hunting community. ( Exactly the sort of thing I dread from this fest: the exposition-heavy coming-out story. )
Caught My Heart in the Middle of a Feeling by beckaandzac 4/5 Recommended 5900 words. Sam goes looking for new friends and finds something he never would have expected. ( Cute. )

What's this, I actually have some reviews? I've been trying to read some fic every day, but one of them (which was SGA, so it's actually in another batch) was super long and ended up taking me weeks to read, so I still feel like I haven't read much fic. :p
Three Women Who Never Brushed Hermione's Hair by wisdomeagle 4/5 Recommended 300 words. Habits learned in youth can't be untangled. ( I can totally see this being canon. )
Platform Nine and Five-Sixteenths by mtfierce 3/5 1800 words. Luna always considered the lack of imagination in the wizarding world to be one of many reasons Thomas Riddle was able to do all he had done. (She hated the so-smug anagram he made. Not that anagrams weren't neat, just that self-proclaimed honors were, well, premature at best, and if he really wanted to get rid of his muggle name, wouldn't he just call himself something else that didn't include it?) ( Cute and very, very Luna. )
An Unequal Magic by lyras 3/5 11,000 words. When Petunia grudgingly offers Snape sanctuary, the pair discover that they have certain things in common. ( Well-written, but heavily jossed, which made me enjoy it less. )
Thirteen Months by argosy 2/5 6300 words. The Wizarding World has forgiven Snape, but Snape hasn't forgiven the Wizarding World. And gardening. ( I am just not the audience for this fic. Shippers might like it, though. )
